IN THIS LESSON

“Instructions for living a life: Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.”
— Mary Oliver

Let’s take a deep breath together and press pause — just for a moment.

This part is about noticing what is, right now. Not the version of summer you might post about, but the version you’re actually living. The quiet parts. The messy parts. The parts that haven’t fully made sense yet.

We’ll slow down and gently check in with your body, your heart, and your thoughts — not to fix or change anything, but simply to be honest about what’s here. You don’t have to earn your way into presence. You just get to be here.

I’ll guide you through a few simple, creative practices to help you name your “right now” life — through delight, through image, even through a little bit of play. And together we’ll explore how to hold space for this in-between season: the one that’s not quite what was, and not yet what will be.

You’re allowed to be exactly where you are.

    • What does my body need right now?

    • What’s bringing me joy, even in small or surprising ways?

    • Where am I noticing pressure to “make something” of the summer?

    • Where do I feel most like myself this summer?

    • Where am I tempted to overfill or overschedule my days?

    • What would it feel like to let this summer be enough, without needing it to be the “best summer ever”?

    • What’s one thing I want to savor before the season shifts again?

A Blessing for the Right Now

As you move through this season — whatever it’s holding —
may you remember that you’re allowed to be here just as you are.
You don’t have to “make the most of it.”
You don’t have to turn every moment into a memory.

Your presence is enough.

May you notice what your body knows,
what your heart longs for,
and what quiet joys are already with you.

When the world rushes you forward,
may you find the courage to slow down.
To check in. To breathe.
To befriend your own becoming.

And if this summer feels quieter than you hoped,
or fuller than you planned,
may you still feel connected to yourself in it.

This moment won’t last forever —
but it is yours to receive.

May you feel the goodness of simply being alive in it.
